BOQUETE: LAND OF FLOWERS & COFFEE
Nestled in a small valley and shadowed by the Baru Volcano, Boquete is a charming, small, picture-postcard mountain town that caters to tourists throughout the year. The town is alive with the bright colors of the local flowers, trees, and shrubs. The hillsides are covered with coffee plantations and greenhouses. The Caldera River runs through the center of town, making it an attraction of its own.

Boquete Tours
COFFEE TOUR | THURS APRIL 24 | 9AM-2PM
The Coffee Tour is one of the most famous tours in Boquete! Being Boquete the capital of the production in Panama, our famous Geisha has been recognized as one of the best and most expensive in the world. The tour will include tasting and hiking in the farms.
Cost is $35 per person and includes private transportation to and from the resort, as well as tickets to coffee plantation tour and tasting.

CANOPY/ZIP LINING & FRESAS MARY FRI APRIL 25 | 10AM-2PM
This half-day activity is one of the musts in Boquete if you are on the adventurous side. With specialized, very professional and fun guides, you will be able to experience the cloud forest at its best. Perched on the top of the trees, each one of the 13 lines will be progressively more exciting. The whole trip is an adventure on its own! Fun and entertainment guaranteed.

HANGING BRIDGES & FRESAS MARY FRI APRIL 25 | 10AM-2PM
The Boquete Tree Trek Hanging Bridges are the perfect way to explore the Boquete cloud forest canopy for those who prefer their feet firmly planted. Join us on this 4.5 km trek across 6 different hanging bridges suspended up to 75 meters high for a birds eye view of the Boquete canopy!

BARU VOLCANO JEEP TOURS
The Baru Volcano is an a dormant stratovolcano and the tallest mountain in Panama, at 3,474 meters high. It lies about 35 km off the border of Costa Rica. It is also the twelfth highest peak in Central America. This dormant volcano just south of the Continental Divide, is one of the only places in the world where one can see both the Pacific Ocean and the Caribbean Sea at the same time with the naked eye.
Join a tour to make the steep and rugged climb by 4×4. jeeps. You will make your way to the dormant volcano’s summit, as you climb the Volcano maintenance road. From the summit, you will get the breath-taking panoramic view of both of Panama’s coastlines, the Pacific and the Caribbean for a “once-in-lifetime” opportunity to witness a volcano sunrise from the highest point in Panama. The gorgeous views from the top are worth it, and to say you’ve “been to the highest point in Panama.”
The 4×4 sunrise jeep tour starts with hotel pickup at 4am, but the gorgeous views from the top are worth it, and to say you’ve “been to the highest point in Panama.” The tour takes about 2 hours to get to the top. It’s an extremely bumpy off-roading experience, but the 4×4 vehicles provides comfortable seats and closed windows, sheltering from the cold. However, the ride is not recommended for anyone pregnant, or tendencies of motion sickness. At the top, you can drink hot coffee/hot chocolate until the sun makes it’s first appearance. After a final ascent to the Volcan Baru peak, you may take your panoramic photos, and enjoy a picnic style breakfast at the highest point of Panama. The return is two more hours to town arriving at 10am.
RAFTING

The whitewater rafting routes that our experienced guides will select for your trip will depend on water levels from dam release for the trip day, your prior rafting experience, skill, and desire.

HORSEBACK RIDING
The Boquete horseback riding tour adventure takes place in the lands of Caldera, one of the areas surrounding Boquete. The beautiful scenery of this region makes it an ideal destination for horseback riding. Experienced riders, as well as beginners and children, are welcome! You will be riding with an experienced bilingual guide, so no worries if you have never ridden a horse before. They will teach you!
QUETZAL TRAIL
Located within the Volcan Barú National Park, the “Sendero de los Quetzales” (Quetzal Bird Trail) links the towns of Guadalupe near Cerro Punta, on the west side of the Volcano, with Boquete on its east side. The entire hike is 9.6 km long in total (6 miles), and depending on your hiking speed it will take you anywhere between 4 and 7 hours to get to the other side. The ranger station where the hike starts is at about 1,800 meters above sea level, and Cerro Punta’s altitude is 1,981 meters (6,500 feet). The highest point in the Quetzals Trail is marked at 2,500 meters. This makes the shift in altitude around 500 meters for the entire hike. In this National Park temperatures range from 10° – 16°C (50° to 60°F).
